Every mug begins with a form I design in 3D CAD software. From my mother-mold designs, I make my own plaster molds and use them to slipcast the mugs.
For the hand-painted collection, I draw each design by hand and paint it with underglazes, then apply a clear glaze over the artwork. Birds, flowers, and quiet moments in nature inspire the decoration.
Slipcasting gives the collection a shared form, while the manual making and individual brushwork bring small variations and distinctive character to each piece. Each Garden Companions listing shows the unique mug for sale.
